ROOKIE:"Andrea, I'm going to speak as a mom here. Sorry. I have a 14 yr old daughter. and I think she is too young too date. I have even told her so. I let her have a boyfriend last year and she dumped him 2 weeks later. Why? Because he wanted to talk to her on the phone all the time. She didn't understand that he liked her, that's why he was always calling. So that told me she was too young. I knew better.
I won't let her date until she's 16. And even then it may be too young. I also have a 20 yr old daughter who is getting married this year. And personally, I think she is still too young. I was 19 when I married, and I was too young, I was divorced 9 years later. Take your time, enjoy life, enjoy yourself and enjoy your relationship with Christ. And for now, trust your mom.

andrea there's something I think is very important to think about as far as finding another person to share your life with, especially at a young age. It opens you up to heart ache, and adds more complications to your life. Most likely everyone you meet in school, or at a young age, are not going to be in your life when you get older. everyone will eventually go off in different directions. there's still college in the future, and jobs, even your best friend will most likey move off to another town and you may even do the same.
Also remember the Bible tells us to honor our parents, they want what's best for you, and since they've been young at one time in their life, they speak from experience. "
